It all began at the age of 25,

Yes, the search for A Suitable Guy!

They say, now you’re a big girl,

The realization comes not from within, but from the outside world!

They say, now you’ve to leave your home,

Go, for you’ve to explore the unexplored shore!

But how do I commit to thee?

The person whom I have neither met nor seen!

White or dark, no matter what,

What if the person is not good by heart?

It’s a question of life and death,

How can you barter me just like that?

How can I part from thee?

The one who has given birth to me!

Mommy's caress can where be found?

Touch of whom heals all hurting wounds!

‘Why do I have to go?” I asked my dad,

“This is the way life works, go, explore, it’s not that bad”

“But how to decide who’s the right guy?”

“Oh yes, one who understands you and never makes you cry!”

Studying was easy, marrying seems tough,

I hope the road ahead is not rugged and rough!

If this is to happen, then let it be,

HE must have planned the best for me!

Life never stops!

Time and tide wait for none!

I’m sure, we all have heard this one.

From childhood to adulthood,

Time teaches us lessons.

Childhood were carefree days,

Those days of frolic and fun!

When happiness came at the cost of a toffee,

When wounds only meant physical burn.

Then came adulthood,

More of work and less of fun,

Tough life lessons, we are made to learn.

We are expected to be serious,

To cope with life’s increased burden.

Professional life begins,

Once again A NEW RACE WE RUN.

Those merry-making days are forgotten,

as adulthood sets in.

Alas, people look happy outside,

But are less satisfied within.

In this new phase of life,

Tests of time are bound to happen,

Some sail through,

Some just fail to prove their mettle.

As time progresses, new people we meet,

Some touch our heart,

Some leave us and go apart.

But life stops for whom?

It just moves on..

It gives us a new hope,

New strength to carry on!

Geared up for the new challenge,

today is the beginning of a new start,

For one thing I’m glad,

Life never stops!

Past Revisited

Just like changing weather.

All I have today is our memories,

Our good and bad times,

Songs we sung, stories we shared

Have just faded away with time.

As I retrospect over our times together

I feel everything was just so fine

You shared everything with me

And I had nothing to hide.

Have I got too busy

Or you’ve moved on in life?

What has gone wrong?

Why have we taken two different sides?

Had it not been better ,

if it had ended with a smile?

Or are you happy with the way it is,

Giving me the pain of a lifetime?

Pondering over theses thoughts day and night,

One question always troubles my mind,

Does true love really exist?

Is there anything of its kind?
